The App enables community pharmacies offering Antiretroviral (ART) refill services to patients devolved from hospitals to document encounters with such patients and report to the LAMIS central repository.
This app allows community pharmacists electronically document and report services provided to ART clients devolved from hospitals. The Community Pharmacy ART Refill Program (CPARP) is designed to enable the devolvement of ART clients who are eligible and willing to receive their routine ART refills in community pharmacies to such premises for their routine refills while maintaining follow up and periodic assessments at the hospital.
Services provided in CPARP include:
• Dispensing of Antiretroviral and related drugs
• Medication Adherence Counselling
• Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring and Reporting
• Chronic care assessment
• Appointment scheduling, monitoring and alerts
This app simplifies documentation and reporting for community pharmacists involved in providing ART refill services and provides real time update of client level information at the devolving hospital (hub) once the device is connected.
It provides the much-needed linkage for private and public-sector data, reduces the challenges with paper based documentation with multiple tools and provides a longitudinal information of clients served for improved monitoring and outcomes.
